1.  Who Pays for the Art?

The City of Tamarac collects mitigation fees on new construction projects.  No property taxes or sales taxes are used to support the public art of the City.  



2.  Who Selects the Art?



The Public Art Committee appoints a selection panel of residents and property owners that chooses the artwork.  Contact publicart@tamarac.org if you would like to attend at meeting.



3.  How Does My Art Get Considered for Purchase?



The City prepares and distributes a written "Call for Artists"  with all the information about the application process.  If you would like to see a recent "Call to Artist," please click here.  If you would like to be on the mailing list to receive future "Calls to Artists", please click here.  


4.  How can Get Art for my Neighborhood or Park?

The City has a public art master plan for the locations future artworks.  Click here for a list.  If you wish to add a special place in the City, please send an email to publicart@tamarac.org and we will get back to you for a conversation.
